This is the 'Greenest' approach possible.
We are just visitors here; the animals were here first.

We do not want to Kill, Trap, Poison, or Harm these little guys in any way.
We just want them to move on and not make our vehicles their homes and destroy our wiring!

'’Shining a Light on the Placitas Pack Rat Problem''

We live at a unique altitude where hungry Pack Rats also live and thrive;
they don't go on down to
Bernalillo
for food shopping, or for nest building materials, or to look for a very Dark and Warm environment to build their nests.

Our
Placitas Pack Rats are thrilled to just stay up here, find your car, your truck or your motor home's engine compartment and then go to work to build a nice warm nest in it.
It's the early Fall season now, and they are on their way to find your vehicle for their winter stay.
The problem is that now that they have built a comfortable home in your dark engine compartment
they've all gotten real hungry.

''Let's Eat''
they say, and your tasty vegetable-based insulation on the engine's wiring is the first to go down. Munch. Munch.

Also, nests can have fleas that carry diseases. Rats are known to carry disease; best to keep them away from your vehicles.

Now your vehicle may not start, or it can hardy get out of the driveway.  You may be stranded miles from any help.
And, now no going shopping, no going to work, no going down to Blades Bistro for
DinDin
.
Big Bummer, and a Big Expense Is Coming.

We had a friend visiting from CA last fall and she left her big Dodge truck in our driveway for a week, then on her way home she stopped in AZ for fuel and found her truck's engine compartment completely on fire as she came out of the gas station store. The four thousand dollar mechanic said that the rat-chewed wires caused a short and the resulting catastrophic fire, and the two month wait to get her truck back. My Chevy van was only $750. to replace my rat-chewed wiring.
So, what is your ''Pack-Rats-Ruined-My-Wires'' story?
Email to:
frank@fmvigneri.com and I will include your story here.

Big Secret:
Placitas Pack Rats Hate Light.

 Problem Solved:
I
will come to your home to design and install a small, lighted driveway device to totally discourage those dirty rats from nesting and eating into your vehicle wires.
You just park so that the engine is about over the lights.
Our Lighting Systems are calculated to stop infestations, but not too bright to bother neighbors,
or to not effect our beautiful night views.
It is reccomended to have systems in your garage as well; our Placitas Pack Rats like to come indoors too !
 Easy, Done-Deal.

The lights come on automatically at dusk and go off at dawn.
There are several custom designs and configurations to suite every driveway; whether it is gravel, blacktop, or even concrete. The systems are hardwired, and or, solar powered as well. (Highly Reccomended.)
I also have a booklet with complete plans and a parts list for the do-it-yourselfers.

Please call Frank Vigneri at at 235-2775 for your $28. Initial Consultation with ''Placitas Home Services.''
This initial fee is credited toward your investment to save your vehicles.
Happy and Safe Motoring.
